Together, we provide operational excellence to eyecare professionals with an aim to be the leading eye care provider in our community./ppstrongGENERAL FUNCTION /strong/ppThis role supports the practice through manufacturing eyewear in accordance with Company standards. This position ensures speed and reliability of service in manufacturing patient eyewear. This role supports establishing the practice as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community./pp /ppstrongMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/strong/pulliProduces quality eyewear through utilizing the Quality Manufacturing Program (QMP) that includes lab ordering and in office finishing, edging, mounting, and final inspecting./liliResponsible for basic operation, cleaning and ongoing maintenance of laboratory tools and equipment using established QMP maintenance procedures and calendars. Diagnoses and solves equipment issues in conjunction with the diagnostics team, when needed./liliStrives to improve technical knowledge through the completion of the Quality Manufacturing Program and continually applies that knowledge in the production of all eyewear./liliUtilizes product knowledge to determine the best manufacturing process for both routine and special orders to ensure the production of top quality eyewear in accordance within expected delivery time./liliAttentive to detail with all measurements, calculations, equipment settings and defective product./liliTakes initiative to notice and follow up on discrepancies; suggests improvements, recommends solutions and does what is necessary to ensure patient satisfaction./liliReviews optical lens meaurements and diagnose vision care needs./liliOperates point-of-sale (POS) and lab application software, inputting all lab statistics with accuracy and attention to detail./liliStrives to achieve exceptional results that align with practice priorities./liliDrives top line performance and bottom line optimization and profitability./liliTakes pride in the appearance of the practice and shows initiative in keeping the lab and stock room clean, organized and safe./liliComplies with all safety and regulatory requirements ensuring supplies/chemicals are stored and used per chemical safety program. Keeps management informed of potential safety opportunities (i.e. broken tiles, equipment, etc.)./liliDemonstrates safe work practices including the wearing of personal protective equipment while in the lab./liliWorks weekends and evenings in support of the business needs (varies by location)./liliAdheres to attendance and daily time keeping requirements./liliAdheres to all company policies and procedures./liliConsistently maintains proper dress code./liliPerforms other functions as assigned by Practice Manager or as business needs./li/ulp /ppstrongBASIC QUALIFICATIONS/strong/pulliHigh School Graduate or equivalent/liliStrong customer service skills (internal and external)/liliStrong communicator and listener/liliOrganizational skills/li/ulp /ppstrongPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/strong/pulliOptical training/lili1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment/liliPrevious experience in optical/liliExperience with machinery/li/ulpPay Range: 24.94 - 40.57 /ppThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business.
