We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our Croatian entity in Novigrad.

Your role
The Credit Controller manages a portfolio of customers, ensuring effective collection, controlled credit exposure, and compliance with credit policy. The role contributes to cash flow optimization, overdue reduction, and achievement of DSO targets, operating within defined guidelines and escalating non-standard or high-risk cases.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collections and minimization of overdue balances.
- Actively monitor customer aging, prioritize collection actions across overdue buckets, and escalate risks in a timely manner.
- Negotiate payment plans within approved guidelines.
- Support credit limit monitoring and order release decisions in line with Credit Policy.
- Identify and escalate high-risk accounts, disputes, and potential bad debts.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve issues impacting collections.
- Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
- Support the preparation of bad debt provisions and recovery actions.
- Prepare regular reports on overdue, collections, and customer exposure.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and documentation standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer master data relevant to credit control activities.
The candidate must also have:
- Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid experience with Excel, knowledge of SAP is considered an asset.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Structured approach to processes and data accuracy, with respect for internal controls and procedures
