This role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent customer communication skills, amp; a hands-on approach to ensuring equipment performance amp; customer satisfaction./ppThe Field Service Technician plays a critical role in representing the company’s service brand by delivering professional, timely, amp; high-quality support. This includes performing on-site installations, providing customer training, troubleshooting issues, amp; executing preventative maintenance./ppstrongMAJOR DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES/strong/pulliTravel to customer sites to perform equipment installations, operator training, amp; ongoing service support./liliUnpack, install, amp; configure equipment upon delivery; ensure proper setup, calibration, amp; integration into customer systems./liliInstall a variety of equipment with varying levels of complexity, including those requiring water amp; drain connections, network setup, amp; integration with practice management systems./liliDemonstrate technical proficiency in network cabling, TCP/IP configuration, amp; basic hardware/software integration./liliProvide on-site amp; remote troubleshooting support, coordinating with Technical Support when additional assistance is needed./liliDeliver comprehensive operator training on equipment use, safety, amp; routine maintenance./liliPerform preventative maintenance amp; repairs to minimize equipment downtime amp; extend product life./liliCommunicate effectively with customers to address service needs, equipment functionality, amp; maintenance schedules./liliHandle customer requests for replacement of defective parts amp; ensure accurate documentation of all service actions./liliProvide trade show support including equipment setup, teardown, amp; technical assistance during show hours./liliCollaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Production, Sales, amp; Customer Service) to relay customer feedback, recurring issues, amp; product improvement opportunities./liliComplete all required service reports, installation documentation, amp; work orders accurately amp; in a timely manner./liliProvide customer support via phone, email, amp; remote diagnostic tools as needed./liliAdditional duties amp; scope as needed/li/ulpstrongBASIC QUALIFICATIONS/strong/pulliAssociate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related technical field; or equivalent work experience./liliMinimum 3+ years of experience in field service, equipment installation, or technical support (preferably within medical devices, optical, or related industries)./liliAbility to read amp; interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, amp; technical manuals./liliSolid understanding of basic networking concepts amp; protocols (TCP/IP)./liliStrong mechanical aptitude amp; problem-solving skills./liliBasic computer proficiency, including experience with diagnostic amp; service software./liliExcellent communication amp; interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset./liliAbility to work independently in the field with minimal supervision./liliWillingness amp; ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory (may include overnight stays)./liliMust hold a valid driver’s license./liliAbility to lift amp; move equipment (up to 50 lbs) amp; perform physically demanding installations./li/ulpstrongPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/strong/pulliExperience installing, maintaining, or repairing lens finishing, ophthalmic, or medical diagnostic equipment./liliWorking knowledge of practice management system integrations or networked device setups./li/ulpThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
