 The Market Director, MS&AL; is responsible for managing MHUSA’s relationship with our distributor partners, overseeing key account management and is the primary distributor interface for these subchannels. This person will also supervise account or distributor leads to ensure target, plans, and sales goals are achieved. The Market Director is responsible for managing distributor performance (KPI achievement) and that all initiatives align with MHUSA’s strategy and within established guidelines, contract terms and budgets.

 

Office/Location: Remote in Alabama in market based on business needs. 

Les missions

Market Management

  • Oversees depletion and revenue goals for market
  • Plans and manages budgets and brand allocations for accounts. Allocates resources across states/cities
  • Ensures quality of brand mix, inventory, size mix, & market pricing are set to drive growth and profitability
  • Monitors sales & depletion metrics and performance. Manages the distributor to ensure targets are met
  • Oversees and plans the program & pricing calendar in partnership with the distributor
  • Monitors flow of activities and program/activity calendar required to achieve brand priorities and overall performance for Distributor-managed accounts
  • Is accountable for the markets forecast in partnership with Forecasting & Operations.
  • Attends a once-a-week operations call and a monthly working session with the Forecasting & Operations. Gains alignment on the forecast with the distributor
  • Effectively manages DPP and FTT budgets
  • Aligns with commercial enablement budgeting & analytics on pricing feedback
  • Participation in Market/Maison visitors, blitzes, and distributor education
  •  Negotiates internally on behalf of the Commercial Sales team
  • Facilitates distributor alignment with MH strategy, priorities and operational objectives, and leads regular business reviews.

Account Management:

  • Engages with key customer accounts with high volume and established customer relationships 
  •  Is responsible for sales & depletion goals for On/Off-Premise channel​
  • Informs market lead of inventory risks or opportunity to influence market forecasts ​
  • Owns program/activity calendar for distributor-managed accounts & MH managed accounts​
  • Ensures account needs for programs and activations are met and executed within MH brand guidelines ​

Distributor Management

  • Manages day-to-day relationship with distributors for Key accounts within market​
  • Communicates guidelines & expectations to distributors to ensure flawless execution across all channels within scope, brand objectives and strategies, and to deliver targets  ​
  • Tracks distributor KPIs, based on brand/market priorities; takes corrective action as necessary​
  • Drives distributor to meet sales & depletion goals & execute the national and local program calendar​

Profil

Education Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required; MBA or Marketing degree preferred Professional Experience 7+ years of professional experience in sales and marketing in wine and spirits Practical/Technical Knowledge Deep understanding of and delivery on consumer expectations within territory Able to maintain a flexible and adaptable mindset by continually evaluating, revising and responding with agility to meet rapidly evolving business needs ​ Strong knowledge of sales techniques and distributor networks​ Strong interpersonal and people management skills to navigate complex relationships spanning broad geographies​ Well-developed finance and budget management skills​ Highly effective influencing &partnering; skills​ Refined communication & presentation skills​ Ability to act as a liaison between distributor and other stakeholders Revenue, margin, and growth of States within assigned scope  ​ Overall revenue, margin, and growth​ Key account growth and development​ KPI achievement & management for their channel ​ Depletion growth targets for channel This role requires frequent driving to support account visits, transport POSM, and meet essential business needs. Driving is an essential function of the position. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required. Eligibility for a company vehicle is subject to a satisfactory driving record and completion of the Company’s approval process. Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
