HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
 

  • Assist the M&A team in executing key corporate development projects, including, among others, joint ventures, minority investments, acquisitions, mergers and disposals, as well as related post-merger integration processes

  • Support the M&A team in the review of potential investment opportunities: assessment of business model and financials, valuation, preparation of company profiles, preparation of investment memos to inform go/no-go decisions

  • Prepare detailed buy-side business plans (P&L, B/S, Cash Flows) when required in the context of a transaction and perform critical analysis of sellers’ business plans

  • Perform valuation analysis with the relevant valuation methodologies (including DCF, trading and transaction comps, etc) depending on deal type and stage of target’s development

  • Carry out analysis of projects return and payback period of investments

  • Support the M&A team with project management during due diligence processes (including virtual data room management) and post-merger/acquisitions integrations

  • Coordinating internal shareholders across regions, functions and Maisons to support the integration of newly acquired businesses

  • Monitor M&A transactions in the luxury goods space and maintain and update databases of relevant transaction and trading comparable multiples

  • Assist the M&A team as needed to ensure preparation for important meetings, attend relevant meetings, taking minutes and documenting key outcomes and next steps


HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • A minimum of 4/5 years of work experience in a similar in-house M&A role or in investment banks or M&A boutiques, with coverage of retail or consumer goods businesses. Exposure to the luxury goods sector considered as a plus

  • Fluency in English. French considered as a plus

  • Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PPT

  • Availability to travel abroad

  • Sharp, curious, willing to learn and be challenged

  • Work ethic - Flexibility to work long-hours and week-ends if and when needed

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Strong analytical skills, including excel modelling

  • Solid valuation and business planning skills

  • Knowledge of financial statements and financial modelling skills

  • Hard-working - candidates should have an excellent work ethic

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work with a wide spectrum of people inside and outside the firm (across different seniorities, strategic partners and consultants)

  • Highly discreet - absolute trust and confidentiality required
