Join our global community of over 200,000 dedicated employees around the world in driving the transformation of the eyewear and eyecare industry. a href=https://www.linkedin.com/company/essilorluxottica/posts/?feedView=allDiscover more by following us on LinkedIn!/a/ppstrongGENERAL FUNCTION/strong /ppYou will be responsible for cleaning and assembling the lenses on the baskets, continuously supplying the machines with product, inspecting the lenses by following established procedures./ppThe work schedule is Monday to Friday (evening shift) but may be subject to change depending on operational and business needs, potentially requiring employees to work weekends and holidays as well./ppYou may need to work different hours in the beginning for training purposes.  /pp strongMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/strong  /pulliCareful handling of lens to avoid scratches/liliSort lenses onto rack by size and required coating/liliInspecting baskets and hangers for good condition before use/liliClipping lenses securely and correctly onto basket/liliInspect bifocal lens for correctness before putting into machine/liliLoad and Empty baskets from machine as needed/liliMaintain cleanliness of deionized water bath/liliCleaning machine with proper personal protective equipment/liliVerify the lenses match prescription after training/liliVisually inspecting lens for quality, using Essilor tolerance chart and record information/liliTransfer lenses from baskets onto trays for oven to cure/liliSeparate rejected from approved lenses for rework according to protocol/liliUse a barcode reader to scan prescription to track the jobs/liliInform team leader of non-conformities/liliMeeting physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing. Lifting heavy objects between 10-15 lbs. and handling chemicals. Operating tools and wearing PPE./liliAssist within the operations department as needed /li/ulp strongQUALIFICATIONS/strong  /pulliJob experience will be considered in place of High school diploma or GED /liliProficient in English (ability to read, write and speak fluently) /liliManufacturing experience a plus /liliThe ability to meet measurable standards in a dynamic production environment Depth perception, use of fine motor skills and manual dexterity /liliThe ability to handle multiple requests effectively in a fast-paced environment /liliSolid problem-solving skills /liliThe ability to follow directions /liliA track record demonstrating responsibility and reliability /liliWill be organized and will have manual dexterity/liliAn accountable and self-motivated work ethic /liliAttention to detail and precision /liliAutonomous /liliTeam player /liliMust be able to walk/stand for full duration of the shift /liliAbility to adapt to change /liliBe able to perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremities /liliMust be able to regularly lift 10 pounds/li/ulpPay Range: $17.60 - $22.00/ppThis position is eligible for a shift premium. This posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
