The Export Compliance Specialist is an integral part of the business and ensures the company remains in compliance with regulatory policies relating to the global export of goods. The individual must be a self-starter, problem solver, and keep up to date with the changing regulations and sanctions globally. /pp /ppstrongMajor Duties and Responsibilities:/strong/pulliPrepare international shipping documentation/liliAuthorize the release of export sales orders to the warehouse/liliEnter export declarations into the government’s ACE portal/liliIdentify and rectify areas of export non-compliance/liliMaintain record keeping per the current requirements/liliSubmit license applications when necessary/liliDevelop and conduct internal training on export compliance/liliMonitor changes in regulations and global export issues/liliUpdate export compliance procedures and manuals/liliInteract with various departments, and employees at all levels, while maintaining a customer focused, team attitude/liliAct as a resource to recommend proper shipping channels and processes/liliInteract directly with government agencies and freight forwarders as necessary/li/ululliWork on special projects as assigned by the supervisor/li/ululliResearch new sanctions and propose new processes to maintain compliance/liliAdditional duties as assigned/li/ulpstrong /strong/ppstrongBasic Qualifications:/strong/pulliBachelors or Associates degree in a related field/liliAttention to detail is critically important/liliStrong computer skills, especially with MS-Office applications/liliWillingness to continue learning trade regulations/liliAbility to perform job duties with minimal supervision/liliPrior shipping experience would be beneficial/liliWorking knowledge of Incoterms/li/ulpstrong /strong/ppstrongPreferred Qualifications: /strong/pulliFamiliarity with SAP ERP system a plus/li/ulpThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
