Exceeds customers’ expectations through manufacturing eyewear in accordance with LensCrafters Quality Manufacturing Program. Ensures speed and reliability of service./ppbrMAJOR DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES/pp• Produce quality eyewear by utilizing the Quality Manufacturing Program (QMP): selecting lenses, marking, taping, blocking, generating, fining amp; polishing, coating polycarbonate lenses, first (surface) inspecting, finish layout amp; blocking, edging, tinting, UV amp; anti-reflective coating, grooving, drop-ball testing, safety monogramming, mounting amp; final inspectionbr• Responsible for operation, cleaning amp; maintenance of laboratory tools amp; equipmentbr• Perform multiple tasks simultaneously amp; accurately despite time pressures amp; customer volumebr• Utilize product knowledge to determine the best manufacturing process for all orders to ensure the production of top quality eyewear in alignment with expected delivery timebr• Attention to detail with measurements, calculations, equipment settings amp; defective productbr• Take initiative to follow up on discrepancies, suggest improvements, recommend solutions amp; ensure customer satisfactionbr• Review Accufit amp; diagnose vision care needsbr• Show initiative in keeping the lab/stock room clean, organized amp; safebr• Comply with all safety/regulatory requirements ensuring supplies/chemicals are stored amp; used per chemical safety programbr• Demonstrate safe work practices including wearing personal protective equipment while in the lab/ppbrBASIC QUALIFICATIONS/pp• High School Graduate or equivalentbr• Strong customer service skills (internal and external)br• Strong communicator and listenerbr• Strong basic math skills br• Organizational skillsbr• Problem solving skillsbr• Strong inter-personal skills (friendly, caring, patient)br• Knowledge of store merchandise/ppPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/pp• Optical trainingbr• Previous experience in optical br• Experience with machinery /ppPay Range: 21.69  - 35.28 /ppThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
