Description

This role will primarily focus on enhancing and ensuring Singapore GST compliance by reviewing quarterly GST filings, ensure all categories of transaction have the correct GST treatment and developing SOPs for GST and major exporter scheme compliance. The incumbent will also provide support to finance projects (such as system enhancements) and assist with product registrations for market access into 9 countries in the APAC region.

The role is suited for an individual with a strong background in Singapore GST, excellent organizational skills, and work effectively with cross-functional and regional stakeholders.

Les missions

  • Review quarterly Singapore GST reports prepared by the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
  • Analyse and validate GST treatments on different categories of transactions, ensuring correct reporting treatment.
  • Develop and implement robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all GST-related processes in Singapore, including documentation, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Keep abreast of changes in Singapore GST regulations and assess their impact on company operations, proposing necessary adjustments to processes and systems.
  • Serve as the internal point of contact for GST-related queries for Singapore.
  • Assist in preparing for and responding to IRAS audits related to Major Exporters Scheme
  • Support on finance transformation and improvement initiatives, including finance system enhancements and SAP enhancements (finance perspective).
  • Assist with product registrations, renewals, regulatory documentation, requirements and regulatory processes to ensure market entry of our products
  • Track and monitor regulatory submissions for all countries in scope, working closely with in-country teams and external consultants.
  • May be asked to support on other trade compliance matters such as import licensing, customs classification, management of audits/investigations, etc.

Profil

Bachelor's Degree holder with preference for accounting / finance background Minimum 3 years of experience in Singapore GST compliance and advisory, either within a multinational corporation or a public accounting firm. Exposure to finance systems and/or SAP in a business user capacity.  Able to manage multiple workstreams with different timelines across functions and countries. Strong proficiency in Excel (trackers, reconciliations, status reporting). Strong communication skills (written and spoken English).
