Create Desirability for our brands By Unleashing the full communications potential for Moët Hennessy

The Communication Manager plays a vital role in building our luxury brands and is responsible for communication excellence. The Communication Manager oversees earned communication for a set of brands of the total MH Wines & Spirits portfolio in Germany as well as the German Communications strategy, exciting journalists & consumers with our products and immersive creative experiences. Develop and implement communications concepts / projects together with the local brand team to increase our brand desirability, product visibility and maximize impact on targeted consumers. The responsibilities in Communications include strategic skills, management & people skills as well as strong executional skills, and will be defined in further detail below.

Your role in a nutshell:

  • Lead communications for Moet Hennessy Germany and a fixed set of brands, create compelling communications strategies/plans for these brands in collaboration with Maisons & local teams
  • Co-develop the communication strategy and co-drive the PR agenda for Moët Hennessy to help achieve key results and commercial objectives across the portfolio increasing brand desirability
  • Ensure best-in-class local communications with highest degree of relevance in the market and continue to lead within the industry and beyond through unmatched creative experiences
  • Focus strongly on setting and monitoring of KPIs – constantly adapt, based on learnings and results to ongoingly elevate our communications performance
  • Further expand an already strong PR network with key press contacts (publisher / chief editor) & key opinion leaders, as well as build on global Moët Hennessy / LVMH stakeholders to maximise PR output (AVE/Reach/Share of Voice vs. Competitors)
  • Train & educate German Marketing team on development of communications landscape as well as fuel the organization with trends and innovation in the communications field

Les missions

Communication Strategy

  • Own the Multi-Channel integrated communications strategies & plan across the respective portfolio incl. all communication buckets in collaboration with the respective teams (Media, Social, CRM, …)
  • Define overarching key communications priorities for MH Germany together with the 2nd Communications Manager, co-develop the communications strategy and drive the PR agenda
  • Derive an actionable plan that utilises a diversified media landscape across lifestyle, daily & special interest press and activate if needed the TV & radio universe for key activations
  • Further push consumer centricity within the company. Increase brands desirability to drive business in long-term with 360° / multi-touchpoint communication concept. Ensure best-in-class immersive & creative brand platforms with highest degree of local relevance
  • Create and execute holistic multi-channel communications concepts, closely collaborating with the Media team to ensure effect of synergies and holistic planning to drive commercial success
  • Put Germany at the forefront of PR expertise, execution and constantly push the boundaries exploring new ideas, partners, executions with a strong test and learn mind-set
  • Analyse and distribute PR results & reportings within the local & global team
  • Manage and keep up to date a wholistic PR database, connecting stakeholders if needed

Brand Communication

  • Take on communications for a set of Moet Hennessy Germany brands - develop compelling, holistic communications strategies and plans to drive brand desirability
  • Manage all day-to-day PR activities: Work closely with various stakeholders; create, write, edit, and translate press releases, as well as other content
  • Ensure a timely delivery of materials so that deadlines are met. This also includes proactive feedback and continuous project updates to your reporting manager and Maisons
  • Oversee all coverage such as clippings, sample tracking, product placements, editorial requests, while managing local PR monitoring budget and dedicated expenses – for your respective set of brands
  • Be the local counterpart for all Maison PR teams – collaborate on creativity & relevance
  • Be key contact and build strong local press relations and ensure an efficient distribution of press materials to media outlets to maximize editorial coverage
  • Ensure brand consistency across all channels through close internal collaboration
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement local sponsoring / partnership activities

Corporate & Internal Communictaion

  • Contact for all MH stakeholders and corporate communication efforts in Germany
  • Actively engage and connect with the EMEA & Global communication community to bring innovation & news into the team, while putting Germany on the map
  • Amplify our brands sustainability efforts in a sensible and targeted communications plans
  • Help to elevate our internal communication and support all teams to amplify their results / key messages across the German and international MH organization
  • Secure a good internal communication flow and coach the organization across departments

Crafting Experiences

  • Define, develop, and implement immersive communication experiences to engage the local press as well as key opinion leaders in collaboration with local brand leads for your respective set of brands
  • Unleash creativity to conceptualize, plan, and execute various press events such as product launches, exhibitions, press days and overall experiences to increase brand equity
  • Recommend budget-, resources- and timing-plans for the different activities

Profil

Education:                Bachelor or Master Degree Business with focus on Communication Languages:  Local language (German) required, Fluent in English, French a plus Professional experience & know how: Min 5 years of PR / Media experience in a luxury company and/or PR agency in Germany Strong network in German publisher/chief editors, as well as lifestyle community Experience / Understanding of German consumer behaviour and content consumption habits Strong communication planning experience, as well as collaborating with multifunctional teams Strategic thinking and planning, ability to transfer strategy down to execution Digital acumen / Profound expertise of digital & media landscape   Good understanding how to build and position luxury brands - understanding of MH brands Experience in crafting events & luxury experiences for press & key opinion leaders  Key Skills & Knowledge Strategic thinking Ability to develop relationships, good presentation skills and ability to interact at senior level Strong creativity and openness to think out of the box and develop new ideas Strong analytical skills Strong skills in organization, building structures, time and project management Personal & interpersonal skills: Drive for results Excellent relationship building and communication skills Influencing and negotiating Skills Attention to detail Effective leadership, team player, collaborative style Ability to network, engage and lead (internal project teams as well as agencies & suppliers) Dealing with ambiguity High degree of flexibility in finding solutions and ways of working using innovation landscape
