We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Industrial Digitalization and OT Expert (m/f/d) to establish and lead our OT department. The OT Expert will be responsible for developing and implementing OT strategies, ensuring the seamless integration of OT and IT systems, and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures across all facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial IT, experience with a variety of manufacturing technologies, and a proven track record in managing complex OT environments.

In addition the role has responsibility for Digital Transformation to lead and accelerate digitalization initiatives across our industrial operations. This role sits on the business side and is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and delivering digital solutions that improve performance in production, quality, logistics, engineering and maintenance.

This is a permanent, full time position located in our head office in Cologne, Germany.

Les missions

Operational Technology (OT) Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive OT strategy (including its articulation with IT) to support the manufacturing operations across all facilities
• Define in coordination with IT, establish and maintain an OT network that ensures smooth monitoring and management of all production activities
• Integrate OT systems with OT infrastructure to enable seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
• Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect OT systems from potential threats.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of OT hardware and software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of OT initiatives with overall business objectives.
• Coordinate with IT and engineering teams to define and maintain clear governance between IT and OT environments.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the OT team, including training and development.
• Monitor and analyze OT system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to OT and cybersecurity.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Digital Transformation Strategy and Execution

• Drive the digital transformation roadmap for operational functions in alignment with company strategy and operational priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and asset performance through digital solutions.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and scaling of digital tools and platforms across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure digital initiatives deliver measurable business value and sustainable adoption.

Profil

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in industrial IT or OT management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OT systems, including SCADA, PLCs, DCS, and industrial networking. Strong understanding of industrial processes and manufacturing technologies and performance drivers. Proven experience in integrating OT and IT systems. In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for OT environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional projects and delivering business results Fluent German and English skills are required, French skills would be a plus Willingness to travel to different manufacturing facilities as required.
