Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace). Senior Designer, Visual Merchandising (Assistant Manager)You will be responsible for the design and delivery of Sephora’s creative visual merchandising (VM) strategies across Southeast Asia-Oceania (SEAO), ensuring brand guidelines are translated into captivating in-store experiences. This role focuses on enhancing product visibility and customer engagement through innovative creative VM concepts for animations, launch pads, window displays, and various in-store operational VM elements. You will manage assigned creative VM projects independently, coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors, and ensure creative VM installations are executed on time, within budget, and in line with brand standards. The role reports directly to the Head of Fixtures & Visual Merchandising.
You will shine here if you enjoy…Creative Visual Merchandising Design & Development: Develop and adapt visual merchandising concepts for various in-store areas, including: Animation Front-of-Store (FOS) displays. Launch Pad areas for new product introductions. Window Displays for Sephora stores. In-store operational VM elements such as Reward areas, MPOS, SPOS, Click & Collect points, and Gift Bars. Translate brand guidelines and marketing initiatives into practical, visually compelling VM solutions that enhance product presentation and customer flow. Contribute to the continuous improvement of VM standards and concepts across the SEAO region. Produce 3D renderings, visual presentations, and mock-ups to clearly communicate VM design intent and support stakeholder alignment and decision-making. Project Management & Execution: Manage assigned VM projects from concept through to execution, ensuring all deliverables are completed efficiently and in line with Sephora guidelines and standards. Coordinate closely with internal marketing, retail operations, and store design teams to align VM strategies with overall business objectives. Collaborate with vendors and contractors to support accurate and timely execution of VM installations, including reviewing production drawings and clarifying design intent. Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards. Site Evaluation & Implementation: Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate space conditions, customer flow, and operational requirements for VM placements. Translate insights from site evaluations into effective and practical VM design solutions. Support material and finish selection for VM fixtures and props, balancing aesthetics, durability, cost, and alignment to brand standards. Conduct regular store visits to review VM implementation, identify issues and opportunities, and recommend practical improvements. Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop VM solutions that enhance customer experience, support operational needs, and reflect Sephora's brand vision. Stay informed on visual merchandising trends, materials, and best practices in retail design to continuously elevate Sephora's in-store environments.We would love to hear from you if you are/have…More than 8 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail design, or a related field, with a strong focus on beauty, fashion, or luxury retail environments. Hands-on experience managing VM projects from concept through execution. Proven experience in designing and implementing window displays, in-store animations, and promotional areas. Strong visual merchandising sensibility with the ability to translate brand guidelines and marketing briefs into practical and impactful VM solutions. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or similar tools for 3D renderings and presentations. Ability to produce clear layouts, drawings, renderings, and compelling presentations. Strong project coordination skills, capable of managing timelines, budgets, priorities, and liaising with vendors and contractors effectively. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across functions. Detail-oriented and solutions-focused, with sound judgment in balancing creativity and operational feasibility.
