In our dynamic environment, fueled by technology and innovation, our people have the space to pioneer new solutions./ppJoin our global community of over 200,000 dedicated employees around the world in driving the transformation of the eyewear and eyecare industry. a href=https://www.linkedin.com/company/essilorluxottica/posts/?feedView=allDiscover more by following us on LinkedIn!/a/ppstrongGENERAL FUNCTION /strong/ppOperations managers are responsible for the technical management, supervision, and control of industrial production processes./ppstrong /strong/ppstrongMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/strong/pulliMonitor workflow in production areas./liliMaintain a continual follow-up program to ensure adherence to procedures in all areas./liliMonitor quality of department incoming and outgoing work./liliPlan and schedule staffing requirements needed in order to meet specific quality standards and production objectives in all areas./liliProvide direction and support to shift supervisors and production teams to ensure a profitable, cohesive production operation./liliAnalyze workflow, yields, manpower requirements, production restraints and quality issues. /liliIdentify problems and develop solutions to continually improve the operations./liliProvide routine reports to management on process and production variances and action plans to continuously improve the process./liliProvide direct support to customer service./liliImplement Lean Six Sigma projects./liliDetermine training requirements and ensure all training needs are met./liliBe a safety steward and ensure safety is always the #1 priority./liliMentor a team of supervisors and promote a people first culture./liliPrepare written performance evaluations and discuss progress with appropriate supervisors/liliProvide direct support, feedback and training to first shift supervisors and group leads./li/ulpstrong /strong/ppstrongBASIC QUALIFICATIONS/strong/pulliMinimum 5 years’ experience managing both exempt and hourly employees in fast-paced manufacturing environments required/liliOptical Industry production management experience preferred/liliBachelors degree or equivalent work experience/liliDemonstrated leadership skills and experience/liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills/liliExcellent process control knowledge and a track record in reducing process variability and improving process yields through utilization of lean and/or six sigma methodologies/liliStrong computer skills in Microsoft Office/li/ulp /ppEmployee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
