Join our global community of over 200,000 dedicated employees around the world in driving the transformation of the eyewear and eyecare industry. a href=https://www.linkedin.com/company/essilorluxottica/posts/?feedView=allDiscover more by following us on LinkedIn!/a/pp /ppstrongGENERAL FUNCTION/strong/ppThe Sales Representative for ophthalmic instruments is a territory manager who is responsible for achievement of sales objectives amp; customer account management for a defined geographic area.  The responsibilities include frequent direct engagement with customers (i.e. eye care professionals) for the purpose of supporting existing customers as well as adding new customers to the territory through business development activities intended to create new sales opportunities amp; achieve sales objectives./ppThis role requires expert knowledge of the Essilor Instruments product portfolio, the company’s competitors, amp; how the solutions/services the company provides can benefit the customer amp; maintain a thorough knowledge of the customer market in the territory.  /pp /ppMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/pulliEstablish amp; maintain relationships with all customers in the territory, frequently interacting with them to maintain amp; grow market share for the company, amp; achieve sales objectives./liliDefine customer/account priorities based upon company initiatives amp; knowledge of customer activity in the territory. For example, awareness of any customer/account expansion, acquisitions or mergers, clinic projects, etc. amp; classification of customer targets into A/B/C based upon business potential or influence./liliMaintain amp; manage an active pipeline of potential sales opportunities./liliCreate, maintain, amp; provide sales forecasts amp; territory sales plans as requested./liliMeet with customers, discuss customer business needs amp; perform product demos, create value for company products, distinguish company from competitors, amp; ultimately achieve sales objectives./liliMaintain all territory information in the company CRM amp;/or any requested company applications./liliSupport amp; facilitate solutions for customers, coordinating with company colleagues as needed to resolve issues./liliRepresenting the company at various industry events or trade shows to include maintaining awareness of regional local events in the territory amp; recommending participation to management to generate new sales opportunities amp; engagement with customers./liliGain a deep understanding of customer experience amp; share customer feedback with colleagues./liliScope amp; prioritize activities based upon business amp; customer impact. This includes frequent visits to customer locations, both existing customers amp; potential new customers, cold calling, to identify all sales opportunities in the territory./li/ulp /pp /ppBASIC QUALIFICATIONS/pulliMS/BS degree required/lili2 years of experience in a sales role./liliPrior track record of achievement of sales objectives/liliStrong relationship builder with a high degree of integrity, responsiveness amp; reliability/liliStrong territory, customer, amp; time management skills with minimal direction/liliExcellent verbal amp; written communication skills/liliExcellent problem-solving skills amp; willingness to do what’s necessary to get the job done efficiently amp; ethically/liliAbility to travel 80% of time (visiting customers, attending events) to effectively cover amp; manage the geographic territory/li/ulp /pp /ppPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/pulli2 years’ sales experience in the ophthalmic industry with knowledge of amp; relationships with customers in the territory. At minimum,/li/ulp /ppPay Range: 70,303.87  - 88,032.50 /ppEmployee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
