Supervision ranges from general to minimal. It is required that this person will be knowledgeable in all aspects of Finishing and/or Coating and/or generating process technology for assigned equipment./ppem /em/ppstrongMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/strong/pulliAll duties to be performed according to the established standard and in compliance with all company policies and procedures while maintaining regular, prompt attendance, availability for overtime and ability to adjust schedule as needed:/liliProvide support to lab personnel by completing complex machine repair requests, chemical tests/changes and equipment changes on all designated production equipment./liliPerform regular preventative maintenance work on all designated production equipment./liliManage workflow and scheduling to ensure jobs are completed and customer needs are met in a timely manner./liliTroubleshoot basic electrical problems with equipment./liliTroubleshoot complex mechanical problems with equipment./liliCommunicate equipment status to production personnel, coworkers, and management./liliPerform general repairs on the building and grounds including rooftop filtering and HVAC equipment./liliTest, check, adjust and tune production equipment to maintain quality standards./liliMaintain accurate inventory of spare parts and ordering when needed./liliProvide technical support to production supervisors for process innovation and improvement./liliCreate and supervise cost saving, productivity and quality improvement projects./liliAssist in training of new hires and conduct training on any new products/process for all employees within the department./liliSpecialize in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and modification of all types of Coating equipment and/or finishing and/or generating equipment./liliSchedule and assist in maintenance of Finishing, Coating and/or generating processes and/or finishing equipment/liliMaintain accurate records and issue complete and timely reports on equipment operations./liliLog and maintain equipment performance data./liliLead, facilitate and document department meetings./liliAssist in maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets for chemicals used./liliPerform basic plumbing tasks including soldering and pipe fitting./liliPerform basic metal fabrication and welding./liliMaintain accurate hazardous waste shipping files if needed./liliUse a variety of hand and power tools in performing machine, building, and grounds maintenance./liliPerform daily lab safety audits to determine if anything does not meet requirements./li/ulp /ppstrongBASIC QUALIFICATIONS/strong/pulliHigh School education or equivalent required./lili3+ years previous related experience and/or training with proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment both electronically and mechanically required./liliKnowledge in the use of electronic test equipment preferred. e. multimeter and amp meter./liliBasic understanding of PLC operation preferred./liliAbility to read and interpret schematic diagrams preferred./liliMust be able to demonstrate knowledge in the complete process of lens creation and /or AR coating process./liliBasic refrigeration knowledge helpful./li/ulp /ppstrongPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/strong/ppThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
