Join our global community of over 200,000 dedicated employees around the world in driving the transformation of the eyewear and eyecare industry. a href=https://www.linkedin.com/company/essilorluxottica/posts/?feedView=allDiscover more by following us on LinkedIn!/a/ppstrongGENERAL FUNCTION/strong/ppThe Associate Technician is responsible for the set-up, operation, and basic maintenance of equipment within the assigned area for work task/job in surface or finish portions of lab production./pp /ppstrongMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/strong/pulliPerform various tasks of area production machine functions:/liliInterpretation of Rx work ticket/liliPerform production operations on specified equipment in accordance with established procedures/liliPerform basic/routine maintenance of assigned equipment/liliAbility to troubleshoot mal-functioning equipment and advise supervisor as to possible remedy/liliSpecific tasks include but not be limited to:/liliLens wash/liliTool selection/replacement/liliEquipment set up for daily production/liliEquipment clean up at day’s end/liliPrepare all necessary solutions or slurry mixtures for lens production process (when applicable) and insure sufficient supplies are available./liliPerform daily and weekly calibration of equipment as directed by area supervisor and in accordance with established divisional operation procedures./liliEffectively communicate with all levels of the laboratory to assure understanding and the proper application of company policies, practices and procedure./liliMaintain work area and common areas of department in a neat, clean, and organized condition./liliUnderstand and follows all company and laboratory policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all attendance amp; safety rules and regulations. Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information./liliWillingly assist others as necessary to keep work current, meet deadlines or maintain an even workload. Cooperate with other employees and demonstrate a good attitude. Perform an acceptable quantity and quality of work on time as required./liliProvide proper training, work direction, and technical guidance for less experienced employees. Attend in-house or sponsored training meetings when necessary./liliPerform other duties as assigned./li/ulpThis position requires exposure to one or more hazardous substances/chemicals which requires safety training./pp /ppstrongBASIC QUALIFICATIONS/strong/pulliHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience/liliAbility to multi-task, orientation to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment./liliBasic high school level math skills required/liliAbility to lift/move up to 50 pounds/li/ulpPay Range: $17.25/hr and more for experience. hours M-F 7a-3p./ppThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. /pp Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
