National Retail Director

Objectives:

  • Develop the right B&M; distribution network
  • Lead the development and execution of brand retail strategy
  • Lead the retail management team and field force to achieve sales target


Responsibilities:


Business Development:

  • Review and implement BD strategy, explore opportunities to open new doors and continually improve door productivity, in terms of region, channels and products.
  • Develop and implement the retail strategy that drives sales growth and enhances our overall unique customer experience.
  • Collaborate with key MKT stakeholders to ensure brand consistency across all retail channels
  • Analyze retail data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement of products and services.
  • Lead the planning and execution of store opening, closure and renovation.
  • Oversee the development and execution of retail marketing campaigns to drive for business result achievement
  • Organize customer VIP events, propose exclusive offers, manage CRM strategy.
  • Suggest Improvement of visual merchandising, products animation, product innovations and new scents.
  • Follow stock and inventory with Supply Chain, deliver financial goals on DSO and counter inventory level

Retailers Relationships Management:

  • Manage relationships with key retail partners, landlords and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Excellent knowledge of market, clients, DS/mall locations and competitors
  • Responsible for all business negotiations (new door opening, closing, improvement of trade terms, animations/podiums…)

Team Management and Development:

  • Responsible for team recruitment, management, engagement and development.
  • Cultivate company culture, strategy and policy to all team members.
  • Motivate the team to achieve company objectives

Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree and above, minimum of 7-10 years of experience in luxury retail, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions
  • Experience in negotiating and managing partnerships with retail partners
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, be a talent motivator, skilled at identifying and nurturing team members’ inherent drivers to build high-performance team. Enthusiastic, positive, eager to develop people, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service for customers and coaching for the team
  • High attention to details and service
  • CRM management knowledge and experience, customer prospection and retention
  • Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures and set up of process
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, during weekend and ability to do multi-task
  • Setting quantitative and qualitative KPI for the team
  • Open-minded and adaptable, willing to embrace new skills, methods, and innovative sales approaches
  • Passion for niche/luxury brands, genuine interest in and understanding of high-end niche fragrances
  • Non-traditional sales leadership mindset, more focus on brand storytelling, customer experience, and value-driven sales than price promotions
  • Detail-oriented, strong emphasis on precision in visual merchandising, training, and customer engagement
  • Strategic market expansion, proven ability to develop and execute distribution strategies for niche brands in competitive markets
  • Fluent in English
