The successful candidate should also be able to achieve a holistic understanding of the product and its functionalities.brHe/She will work closely with Product Design Engineers, Industrial Designers, User Experience team, Quality, Manufacturing.br /ppbrstrongAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:/strong/pp /pp•    Develop and act as reference for the development of complex mechanical solutions as a member of a multi-disciplinary teambr•    Ideate, design, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systemsbr•    Push state-of-the-art technologies and approaches to solve complex mechanical problemsbr•    Work across the full product development cycle, especially from idea, to concept definition and to product finalizationbr•    Collaborate closely with industrial designers, UX team and quality.br•    Travel to and support engineering builds and vendor visits/pp•    Educational Background in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Design br•    Knowledge and Experience of Parametric 3D Cad Software, better if Creo softwarebr•    Knowledge and Experience on PDM, better if Windchill systembr•    Knowledge on design and process of Injection moldingbr•    3+ years of industry experience in mechanical design or in mold Designbr•    Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, and 3D/2D CADbr•    Knowledge of design and simulation tools, prototyping tools, manufacturing technologies and materials.br•    Working knowledge in material properties, such as plastics, metal, adhesive, glass, etc.br•    Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.br•    Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams.br•    High level of organizational skillsbr•    Scientific approach and great problem-solving skillsbr•    Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.br•    Previous experience in Consumer Electronics Product Development is greatly appreciated.br•    Experience with Office 365/ppbrstrongWHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?/strong/pp /ppIn EssilorLuxottica you have the feeling of being part of a “success story”, no matter where you work in the EssilorLuxottica world, you can really make an impact. strongThis position will be based in Agordo at our Operations headquarters.
