HR Specialist - Contractor
About the role
Key Responsibilities:
serve as a key operational partner in payroll processing, data integrity, budget support, and HR system initiatives in a fast-paced retail environment. key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Payroll Execution & Compliance:
- Process monthly payroll for full-time, part-time Beauty Consultants (BCs), and interns with 100% accuracy and timeliness, adhering to strict internal controls and compliance standards.
- Validate monthly BC attendance records, verify leave documentation, and guide sales teams on proper leave management practices—ensuring policy consistency and audit readiness.
Data Integrity & Cross-Brand Coordination:
- Consolidate, validate, and reconcile payroll input data from multiple retail brands against established compensation guidelines and master data rules.
- Partner with CIIC (or other local vendors) to review social insurance contributions and Individual Income Tax (IIT) calculations, ensuring full compliance with Chinese labor, tax, and social security regulations.
Documentation & Audit Readiness:
- Maintain complete, organized, and audit-compliant payroll records in line with internal control and statutory requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders (HRBPs, Finance, Retail Operations) and external partners (payroll vendors, auditors).
Budget & Market Intelligence Support:
- Support the budgeting process for retail staff labor costs
- Prepare and analyze payroll data for internal/external BC compensation benchmarking surveys to assess market competitiveness.
- Monthly reporting for retail labor costs and sales related variable costs to help provide overview of cost efficiency across brands.
Continuous Improvement & Projects:
- Proactively contribute to payroll-related initiatives, including HRIS enhancements, system implementations, automation, and process optimization.
Skills & Competencies:
- A Bachelor degree holder with at least 3-5 years payroll working experiences in agency or multinational company.
- Familiar with China Labor Law, tax law, social security regulations and policies and related operation procedures.
- Excellent Microsoft skills, especially advanced level of MS excel and PPT.
- Good command of English in both oral and written.
- Strong sense of responsibilities and logic thinking.
- Excellent customer service, problem solving and communication skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, willing to take initiative on process enhancement.
